HERZ stainless steel manifolds are designed for use in underfloor, wall, and ceiling heating and cooling systems. They are used in combination with HERZ shut-off or ball valves for optimal system performance. The compact design allows easy installation in distribution cabinets or directly on the wall. Integrated air vent and drain valves enable quick venting and system drainage.

The manifolds are compatible with other HERZ components, allowing flexible system planning. Various models are available with different numbers of heating circuits. High-quality materials ensure long service life and resistance to corrosion.
Material:
The manifolds are made of high-quality stainless steel, ensuring excellent corrosion resistance and long service life. Other components, such as shut-off and thermostatic valves, are made of brass according to EN 12164.

Operating Conditions:
  • Maximum operating pressure (with flow meter): 6 bar
  • Test pressure: 10 bar at 20 °C
  • Maximum allowable temperature (with flow meter): 70 °C
  • Minimum operating temperature: 2 °C

Medium:
The manifolds are suitable for use with heating water in compliance with ÖNORM H5195 and VDI 2035 standards. The use of ethylene or propylene glycol in a 25–50 % mixing ratio is allowed, following the manufacturer’s recommendations. EPDM seals are not resistant to mineral oils, so their use in such systems is limited.

Connections:
  • Manifold inlet: internal thread G1˝ (ISO 228-1)
  • Heating circuit outlets: external thread G3/4˝ with cone sealing
  • Number of heating circuits: from 2 to 12 (up to 16, depending on the model)

Integrated Components:
  • Shut-off valves on the supply side (depending on the model)
  • Thermostatic valves on the return side (depending on the model)
  • Air vent valves for air removal from the system
  • Drain valves G1/2˝ for system drainage
  • Mounting brackets for wall or distribution cabinet installation

Flowmeter Valves
The factory setting is fully open. The set flow volume can be read directly through the inspection glass. To adjust the flow volume, use the plastic adjustment key on top of the knurl and rotate it clockwise or counterclockwise.

Drain Valves
The drain valve is used for filling and draining the system. After use, the valve must be closed. Under no circumstances should the valve remain permanently open and integrated into the distribution system.

Thermostatic Valves M28x1.5
They are opened by spring force and can be closed using a protective cap, manual drive, or thermal actuator. Protective caps are mounted on thermostatic valves as mechanical protection during installation and must be replaced with suitable electrical or mechanical drives after commissioning. The thermostatic upper parts can be equipped with a manual drive 1 9102 80 or thermal actuators, which must be ordered separately. Thermal actuators are available in 24V or 230V, NC (normally closed) or NO (normally open) versions. The thermal drives can be operated via room temperature control or wireless control. Room temperature and wireless controls are described in separate data sheets.
Note! Thermostatic valves and flowmeters are not shut-off devices. Unfilled heating circuits must be closed with a cap at the outlet.

Air Vent Valves
An air vent valve is installed on both the supply and return rods. The valves can be operated with the HERZ universal key (1 6625 00).

Brackets
HERZ rod distributors can be mounted using the supplied brackets directly on a wall or inside a distributor cabinet. The mounting position is arbitrary.

Compatibility:
The manifolds are compatible with all HERZ components, including HERZ PIPEFIX adapters, shut-off, and ball valves. We recommend using HERZ shut-off valves for optimal system performance.
HERZ floor heating manifolds allow quick and easy installation in a distribution cabinet or directly on the wall. The integrated brackets ensure stable attachment and flexible mounting positioning.

All connection threads must be sealed with appropriate seals to prevent leaks. When connecting pipes, the use of HERZ PIPEFIX adapters is recommended for easy installation. After installation, it is necessary to check the proper operation of all valves and air vents. Maintenance includes regular inspection of valve functionality and removal of any impurities.
