The membrane pressure regulator is designed to limit pressure in water supply and other installations where aggressive and explosive media are not present. It is typically used to protect devices or systems from excessive pressure. Additionally, pressure reducers can be used in heating systems to prevent excessive pressure in the boiler. The pressure behind the pressure reducer can be adjusted within a specific range and is independent of the inlet pressure.

The outlet pressure is adjustable and does not change with variations in inlet pressure. The desired pressure can be easily set before installation using the green knob on top of the valve. For convenience, the factory setting is set to 3 bar, but it can be adjusted to meet specific requirements within a range of 1.5 to 6 bar.

The pressure regulator must be installed in a horizontal position with the filter facing downward. Pay attention to the direction of flow, which is marked with an arrow on the housing. For proper operation, there should be a straight pipe section of at least 5x the pipe DN before and after the regulator.

The pressure regulator is equipped with a built-in filter designed to protect the household water supply system from contaminants such as dirt, rust, and sand particles. This filtration ensures a clean and safe water flow, reduces the risk of device damage, and maintains system efficiency over time.

The integrated pressure gauge allows for easy pressure monitoring in the system, ensuring peace of mind and precise control. Be careful not to exceed the specified values on the pressure regulator scale, as this may damage the valve. After each new adjustment of the outlet pressure, open and close the regulated water flow and chdck manometer pressure again. We recommend maintenance by authorized installers in accordance with DIN 1988 standards. Check the condition of the filter in the regulator several times a year and clean or replace it as needed. The tools required for maintenance are included with the pressure reducer.

Operating Data
  • Measurement scale: 0–10 bar
  • Mesh size: 0.3 mm
  • Medium: Water
  • Maximum inlet pressure: 16 bar
  • Output pressure range: 1.5–6 bar
  • Factory setting: 3 bar
  • Medium temperature range: 0.5–40 °C
  • Pressure gauge connections: 1/4" F (ISO 228-1)
  • Connections: External thread according to ISO 7-1 and ISO 228

Medium
The water quality must comply with the ÖNORM H 5195 and VDI 2035 standards. The use of ethylene or propylene glycol in a mixing ratio of 25–50% is permitted. EPDM seals are sensitive to lubricants containing mineral oils, which can cause seal damage. When using ethylene glycol-based products for frost and corrosion protection, follow the manufacturer’s documentation.

Pressure Gauge
The membrane pressure regulator is equipped with a pressure gauge with a 0–10 bar scale, allowing precise pressure monitoring in the heating system. The pressure gauge can be installed on either side of the valve housing, as two 1/4" connection points are available, providing flexible installation options.

Pressure Adjustment
To adjust the pressure on the membrane pressure regulator, use the green adjustment knob located at the top of the product. The knob allows easy manual pressure adjustment in the water circuit. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the pressure and counterclockwise to decrease it. The knob is designed for comfortable manual operation, enabling quick and simple adjustment without additional tools.

Union Nut with Free-Rotating Coupling
The membrane pressure regulator is designed for connection to the system using a union nut with a free-rotating coupling (included in the set). This allows easy maintenance and the possibility of disconnecting the valve during servicing.

INSTALLATION:

Before installation, thoroughly rinse the system. Install the regulator in a horizontal position with the filter facing downward. Pay attention to the direction of flow, which is marked on the housing. For proper operation, there must be a straight pipe section of at least 5x the pipe DN before and after the regulator. The included pressure gauge is screwed into the pressure regulator (it can be mounted on either side of the regulator). A shut-off valve must be installed both before and after the pressure regulator.
